1857-S $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagle PCGS MS61 SS Central America Shipwreck PQ+
Conservatively graded in our opinion, VERY nice for the grade. In 2014, a second salvage of the SS Central America site was conducted and the fruits of that work have yielded more. Its estimated that 3,100 gold coins, 45 gold bars, and thousands of mint state silver coins from a private. Safe within the SS Central America were recovered this time. This is the Bold 7, Faint S variety PCGS MS61 specimen. Central America Shipwreck example that has all the characteristics of a Mint State quality specimen but at a lower price. This coin displays a brilliant orange-gold color, with near perfect surfaces, hard to imagine it was underwater for over 150 years. Comes with display box and certificate of authenticity.
