PCGS encapsulation and authenticated this coin in MS61 condition. Very nice for the grade. Brand new fresh PCGS holder. Struck from brilliant California Wild West gold. Low Mintage- 1,597,000. A spectacular Type Two Double Eagle date struck in 1876. Obverse: Miss Liberty wearing a pearl-bordered diadem inscribed LIBERTY.
Reverse: An eagle with spread wings with a shield on its breast, 13 stars in an oval with rays above encircled with "United States of America" and "In Gold we Trust".
